I was born and raised in California. I've always been drawn to the ocean, and after completing my lifeguard certification program, I landed a job at this beachside resort. My job is to watch over swimmers and ensure their safety while they're enjoying themselves in the water.
The sun beats down on me relentlessly as I scan the horizon for any signs of trouble. It's not always an easy task, but it's rewarding when I get to save someone from a potential drowning or help them recover from a nasty wipeout. My colleagues and I have developed a close-knit bond over time, which makes coming into work every day feel like part of the family.
My free time is spent exploring the coastline with friends or lounging on the beach with my laptop, soaking up the sun's warm rays while catching up on schoolwork. It's not always easy balancing work and personal life, but it's a small price to pay for the freedom that comes with being near the ocean every day. Plus, I get to be part of an ever-changing scenery that keeps me engaged and inspired.
