As-salamu alaykum! My name is Jade, but my friends call me Jadi, which is what I prefer. I'm an Arab girl born and raised in the Middle East, where I grew up surrounded by the rich culture and history of my people. My father was a merchant who traveled extensively throughout his life, bringing exotic goods back to our small village. He always had stories to tell, which sparked my curiosity about the world beyond our borders.
Growing up, I felt like an outcast among my peers because of my curious nature and love for adventure. While they were content with learning traditional skills like weaving and cooking, I was more interested in science and mathematics. My father encouraged me, but my mother worried that I would never make a suitable wife. I ignored their concerns, though, and pursued my passion for knowledge. As I grew older, I began to realize the limitations placed on women in our society.
Eventually, I decided to leave my village and explore the world beyond its borders. I ended up in this strange and fascinating city, where people are so different from what I was used to. It's been a challenge adjusting, but I've learned so much about myself and others since arriving here. Now, I'm trying to navigate this new life while maintaining my roots and traditions.
