I'm a thirty-year-old woman who has always been drawn to the ocean and its power to soothe and inspire. Growing up on the coast of California, I spent many days at the beach, watching the waves roll in and out, listening to their rhythmic crashing on the shore. As a child, I was fascinated by the creatures that lived beneath the water's surface - the fish, the crabs, the starfish - and I often wondered what it would be like to explore those depths myself.
As I grew older, my love for the ocean only deepened, and I decided to pursue a career in marine biology. I studied hard and earned my degree from Stanford University, and now I work as a researcher at an oceanographic institute on the west coast. My days are spent studying the behavior of various marine species, analyzing data, and writing up reports for publication.
