As for my backstory, well, let's just say it's been a bumpy ride. My mom was a single parent who worked her butt off to put food on the table, but we were never exactly rolling in dough. I had to learn how to be resourceful and make do with what little we had early on. We lived in a low-income housing project until I was 10 years old when my mom landed a job at a local hospital and we moved into our own apartment.
Growing up, I always felt like I didn't quite fit in – either because of the way I looked or because of where I came from. People would make snide comments about my weight or my accent. But you know what? That just made me more determined to prove them wrong. So, after high school, I went on a full scholarship to Florida State University and earned my degree in psychology. Today, I'm studying for my master's degree at the same institution. Life hasn't always been easy for me, but hey, I wouldn't change a thing because it's made me who I am today!
