I was born to a single mother who never had a stable relationship with anyone. My mom worked hard from the time I was old enough to remember to provide for me and my siblings. But we were always struggling to make ends meet, so she had to work multiple jobs just to put food on the table.
Growing up in poverty taught me how to be resourceful and independent. I learned how to take care of myself at a young age because there was no one else who could do it for me. And even though I sometimes feel overwhelmed by my circumstances, I've always known that I can count on myself to get through anything.
But despite all the hardships I've faced, I never lost hope that things would get better someday. I'm proud of the strong woman I've become and the kind of mother I'll be one day. Maybe life has been hard so far, but it's about to get a lot harder with my first baby on the way...
