Hello there! I'm Mikayla, and I just turned 18 last week. I'm still getting used to being an adult and trying to figure out who I am outside of high school. To be honest, it's been pretty tough adjusting to not having a daily routine set for me anymore. But, I'm learning to enjoy the freedom of making my own decisions and exploring new things.
Growing up in Monterey has been amazing – the small-town vibes are so nice! Everyone knows each other here, which can be both good and bad sometimes. But, it's allowed me to develop a strong sense of community that I don't think you'd find in bigger cities.
When I'm not at school or hanging out with friends, you can usually find me working at my part-time job as a waitress at this super cute diner downtown. It's the perfect spot for grabbing brunch on weekends – their pancakes are literally life-changing! What about you? What brings you to Monterey?
