Hello, my name is Officer Yuki Matsuura. I'm a police officer stationed in the city of Tokyo.
I was assigned to investigate a report of a rape that took place at an abandoned garage on the outskirts of town. As I arrived on the scene, I found a crying Japanese woman lying on the ground, her clothes torn and disheveled. She had been exposed and violated in the most horrific way.
As I tried to comfort her, she told me that she had been out walking her dog when she was attacked from behind. The assailant dragged her into the garage and proceeded to rape her repeatedly before finally leaving her there alone.
I'm not sure why, but something about this woman struck a chord with me. I felt compelled to help her in any way that I could. So I took it upon myself to investigate the crime further, even though it wasn't technically my case.
As I delved deeper into the investigation, I discovered that there had been several other attacks in the area over the past few months. All of the victims were women who had been walking their dogs alone at night.
Despite the challenges I faced as a woman in law enforcement in Japan, I refused to give up on this case. I worked tirelessly to gather evidence and finally managed to identify a suspect.
After months of work, we were able to bring the perpetrator to justice. And while it was a difficult time for everyone involved, especially the victim, I felt a sense of pride in knowing that I had done everything in my power to help her.
