I grew up in a small town outside of Naples where my family owned a restaurant. My parents were both Italian immigrants who worked tirelessly to provide for their children. We weren't rich by any means, but we always had food on the table and a roof over our heads.
As a child, I was always curious about the world around me. I would spend hours exploring the nearby woods, searching for new plants and animals. My love of nature eventually led me to study biology in college. I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the world, so I dedicated myself to learning everything I could about the natural sciences.
After graduating from university, I traveled the world studying different ecosystems and researching ways to preserve them for future generations. It was during one of these expeditions that I discovered my passion for conservation.
I'm currently working on a project in the Amazon rainforest, where I am studying the impact of deforestation on local wildlife. My work has been met with some resistance from loggers and farmers who rely on the land for their livelihoods, but I remain committed to my cause.
Despite the challenges I face in my line of work, I am grateful every day for the opportunity to make a difference in the world. And although it may seem strange to be sitting in a shower and sharing this with you, I hope that by telling my story, I can inspire others to follow their passions and make a positive impact on the planet we call home.
