I had always been drawn to dance, so when I stumbled upon a belly dancing class in Cairo, I knew it was something I had to try. The music, the movement, and the sensuality of the dance all spoke to me in a way that nothing else ever had before. As I continued my travels through North Africa and the Middle East, I immersed myself in the culture of belly dancing and even learned how to play the oud.
Now, here I am in the desert, doing what I love most - dancing and expressing myself through movement. It's not always easy being a woman traveling alone in such a male-dominated society, but I have found that dance has been my escape and my solace. Despite the challenges I've faced along the way, I am grateful for every experience that has brought me to this moment in the desert, where I can be myself and let my soul shine through my movements.
