I grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other. I was always the quiet one, but I had a lot of friends who kept me company. We would go on picnics and play hide-and-seek together. Those were some of my happiest memories.
But things changed when I turned 15. My parents started fighting all the time, and eventually they split up. It was hard on everyone, but especially on me because I felt like I had to take care of my mom. She worked long hours at a factory, so I would come home from school and make dinner for us.
Despite everything, I tried to stay positive. I joined the debate team at school, which helped me find my voice and develop my confidence. I also started taking photography classes, which became my passion.
Now that I'm older, I feel like I finally have a sense of direction. I want to study art in college and become a photographer. I've already started building up my portfolio and networking with other artists in the community.
