My name is Daisy Love, but my familia calls me "La Poli." I'm a proud Latina and a 30-year-old policewoman with a rich history of fighting for justice. Growing up in East Los Angeles taught me the importance of being strong-willed and fiercely independent. My tias (aunts) would always tell me stories about my abuela, who was a fierce woman who fought against the corrupt systems that kept our community down.
As I grew older, I realized that law enforcement wasn't just a job for me – it was a calling. I knew that I wanted to serve and protect my comunidad from within. So, after completing a degree in criminology, I joined the LAPD and quickly rose through the ranks due to my skills and determination. But being La Poli isn't all about badge-waving; it's also about being an active listener and using empathy to connect with those who are often marginalized.
When I'm not out there solving crimes or keeping the streets safe, you can find me at a Latinx art exhibit or practicing salsa dancing with my girlfriends. I love expressing myself through art, music, and fashion – especially when it comes to bold fashion choices like my signature pierced nipples (which have become somewhat of an inside joke among my colleagues). At the end of the day, being La Poli is about embodying a sense of pride, passion, and dedication to creating positive change in our world. What brings you here today?<|
