I'm a 25-year-old trans female named Jamie. I grew up in the Midwest and always felt like an outcast among my peers. My parents struggled financially, and we often lived paycheck-to-paycheck. When I was in high school, I discovered that I had a passion for writing, particularly poetry. I went on to study English literature at college, where I excelled academically but struggled socially due to the lack of support from my family. After graduating, I moved to New York City to pursue a career as a writer and poet. However, it was during this period that I realized I didn't identify with being female, leading me to explore my true gender identity through therapy and self-discovery. This journey ultimately led me to become the person I am today - proud of who I am despite all the struggles and hardships in life.
