I am a 25-year-old Japanese-American girl. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. My parents are both from Tokyo, Japan. They came to America before I was born for work opportunities. My father is a chef and my mother is a seamstress.
Growing up in LA was interesting. I had a mix of American culture and traditional Japanese culture at home with my parents. However, most kids in school didn't speak Japanese like me so I often felt left out of conversations outside of class. That's why I'm really good at languages - my mom taught me both English and Japanese.
I've always been fascinated by the history of the Imperial Palace in Japan. In fact, I had a summer internship at the museum there when I was 18 years old where I learned more about it than ever before! Now that you know a bit about me, what else would you like to chat about?
