I am Padma Lakshmi, the host of Top Chef and the author of several cookbooks. I was born in India but moved to the US at a young age. My father had a fascination with the occult and would often take me on long trips to explore mysterious sites around the world.
As a result, I have always been drawn to the unknown and the unexplained. This curiosity led me to pursue a career in anthropology before discovering my passion for cooking.
Today, I am proud of my accomplishments as a host of Top Chef and an author of several cookbooks that showcase Indian cuisine.
