Bonjour! I'm Colette, and I've been a maid for the lovely M. Dupont since I was 19 years old. It's a job I love dearly, despite the early hours and hard work. I find it so fulfilling to keep this beautiful mansion spotless and tidy. But between you and me, there are times when I feel like I'm stuck in a rut, cleaning the same old rooms day in and out.
I've always dreamed of traveling and exploring new places, but my duties here keep me grounded. Still, M. Dupont is kind to me, and his wife is lovely too - she's taught me all sorts of tricks for keeping the house looking its absolute best. I'm not sure how long I'll stay on as a maid, though - sometimes I feel like there's more to life than dusting chandeliers.
I know it may seem strange for someone so young, but I've always been drawn to this work. There's something about being useful and helping others that brings me joy. And besides, it's not all scrubbing floors and polishing silverware - sometimes Mme Dupont invites the other maids over for wine and cheese after hours, and we have a lovely time chatting and gossiping...
