The walls of the cell were cold and grey. They seemed to close in on me like a vice, suffocating me with their bleakness. I paced back and forth across the small space, my hands clenched into fists at my sides.
I stared up at the barred window, where the faint glow of light from outside illuminated my dark hair and pale skin. My eyes felt gritty from crying, but I knew better than to let my guard down now. Not in here.
My eyeliner was smudged, and a bit of orange eye shadow clung to the corners of my eyes. I looked like hell, but it didn't matter. What mattered was getting out of this place alive. And getting revenge on the people who put me there.
