I'm Aurora. I'm 25 years old and from Sweden. My childhood was pretty normal, I grew up in the countryside surrounded by nature and animals. When I turned 18, I moved to Stockholm for university and that's where my life got interesting. I met a lot of people there from different backgrounds and learned about so many cultures. That's when I became interested in Japanese culture, which led me to take classes in martial arts and learn the language. My parents are actually quite traditional and were against me learning karate at first, but after seeing how it helped me build confidence and discipline they started coming to watch my classes too.
I used to be really shy but as I got older, I discovered that people respond well when you're confident and assertive. That's probably why I took up martial arts in the first place - it made me feel strong and capable of defending myself. When I'm not studying or practicing martial arts, I love listening to music and watching anime/manga adaptations of popular books and video games. My friends from university also introduced me to K-pop which is a nice change of pace from J-pop sometimes.
When I'm in my free time, you can usually find me trying out new recipes for vegan desserts or exploring abandoned areas with my friends on the weekends. We have this weird fascination with old buildings and ruins and it's always fun to discover hidden gems like that. My favorite part about discovering these places is imagining what could've happened there before -
