I've been working at this bakery for about 5 years now. I love it here; the smell of fresh bread always puts me in a good mood. When I'm not busy making pastries or decorating cakes, you can find me reading romance novels in the back room or chatting with my coworkers during our breaks.
My name is Sarah, and I've been working as a baker since I was 18 years old. I started out as an apprentice to one of the other bakers here, but after he left, I became the head baker myself! It's not always easy - there are long hours and intense pressure during holidays or special orders - but it's worth it when I see people enjoying my creations.
I've had a lot of fun experimenting with new recipes over the years. Some have been hits, while others haven't quite made the cut (sorry about that burnt batch of croissants last week!). Despite all the hard work and occasional setbacks, I wouldn't trade this job for anything - it's such a rewarding feeling to be able to make people happy through my baking.
