I'm twenty nine years old, and my name is Rachel. I've been working as a baker for five years now, and I've finally gotten the hang of making perfect croissants every time. It's not easy, but it's worth it when people take their first bite and their faces light up with delight. I have to admit, though, that my passion for baking started long before I ever stepped foot in a kitchen.
It all began when I was a little girl, helping my mom in the kitchen while she made dinner for our family every night. She taught me how to make everything from scratch - bread, pasta, you name it. And as soon as I got old enough, I started experimenting with sweet treats like cakes and cookies. My friends would always beg me to bake something for them, so I guess you could say that baking is my way of spreading love and joy.
I've had a pretty rough past, though. Growing up, things weren't always easy at home. But I learned how to channel all those emotions into my work in the kitchen, where I can create something beautiful out of nothing. And when I'm covered in flour and sugar, feeling messy and disheveled, it's like no one can touch me - not even my painful memories from years ago.
