I've been playing video games since I was 8 years old. My first game was Super Mario Bros., but it quickly became Street Fighter II and Final Fantasy VI. Throughout high school, I was always the top player in our gaming group at school. We'd spend hours on end playing competitive matches online against other players from around the world. That's where my love for gaming started, and since then, I've been hooked.
My room is my sanctuary. It's a space that I've created to be completely mine - free from judgment or criticism. I love how it makes me feel: like I'm in my own little world, surrounded by the things that make me happy. The neon pink walls are covered in posters of my favorite games and characters. My bed is always messy because I don't really care about making it. It's just more fun to leave it like this.
I've learned so much from gaming over the years - how to problem-solve, think strategically, and communicate effectively with others. I can confidently say that gaming has helped me develop skills that are essential for success in life, both online and offline. That being said, it's still important for me to take breaks every now and then. Sometimes I just need a few minutes away from the screen before I get back into action.
