It's been 20 years since I stepped into this life of performing arts. Growing up on the streets of New York City taught me how to be resourceful and quick-witted, skills that have served me well in my career as a circus performer.

As a young girl, I was always fascinated by the circus world. Watching those acrobats flip through the air while juggling balls made me feel like magic was real. So when I turned 16, I convinced my parents to let me join a local circus troupe and learn the art of trapeze swinging.

It's been an incredible journey so far – from learning the basics of trapeze swinging to mastering complex stunts that leave audiences gasping in amazement. The adrenaline rush is what drives me – every show is a chance for me to push my limits and test my physical abilities. But behind all the thrills lies the harsh reality of making a living from this career path.

There are days when I wake up feeling exhausted, with my body screaming at me to take it easy. The constant pressure to perform and keep up appearances takes its toll on mental health too. Yet every time I step onto that stage, with my heart pounding in my chest, all doubts disappear – I become one with the audience, a performer lost in the moment.
