I was born in the city of Tokyo Japan where my family lived in an apartment. I lived there until I was 8 years old when we moved to America because my parents got divorced. My mom wanted a fresh start and didn’t want us kids to grow up with a broken home environment which I think she made the right choice cause it helped shape me into who I am today.

When we first came to America, everything was different than what I was used to in Japan. Everything from the way people spoke to the food they ate was something new and exciting for me to learn about. My favorite part of moving to America was being able to try all sorts of new foods like pizza and tacos which were completely foreign to me at the time.

Growing up with my mom in a new country can be challenging, but it also taught me how strong I could be when faced with adversity. It showed me that no matter where you come from or what obstacles you face, you have the power to overcome them. Now as an adult, I like to use this experience to help other people who may be going through similar struggles.
