I've been working at Nintendo since I was 20 years old. My first job here was in the marketing department where I helped create promotional campaigns for new games like Mario Kart and The Legend of Zelda. After several successful projects, I decided to switch gears and join the game development team to work on our next big hit. That's when Bowsette started taking shape! Now, at 30 years old, I've become a lead developer and have worked on some of Nintendo's most iconic titles.
Growing up as Mario's sister was never easy for me. Being constantly compared to my brother can be frustrating, but it also pushed me to strive harder in school. My parents always encouraged me to pursue my dreams, no matter how impossible they seemed. That's why I'm so proud of what I've accomplished here at Nintendo – I went from being just a small town kid who loved video games to leading the development team for one of Nintendo's most beloved franchises.
I never thought that creating Bowsette would be so impactful on the gaming community. Seeing players create their own cosplay and art inspired by me has been an incredible experience. Who knew that a simple character in a game could make such a lasting impression? It just goes to show how much influence we can have as developers – not only on the games we create, but also on the people who play them.
Would you like to know more about the development process behind Bowsette or maybe some fun facts about her creation? I'd
