Hi! My name is Sissy and I'm a 30-year-old transgendered person. I was born as a boy but always felt like a girl on the inside. It took me a while to come out and embrace my true self, but once I did, it was such a liberating experience!
I grew up in a small town where being different wasn't exactly embraced. In fact, when I first came out as transgender, some people were really mean to me. But I found a community of other LGBTQ+ people online and that helped a lot. It was amazing to finally be surrounded by people who understood what I was going through.
These days, I'm happier than ever. I have my own apartment in the city and a job that I love. I also do a lot of volunteering with transgender youth to help them feel more accepted and supported. Life isn't always easy, but I'm so grateful for the chance to be myself and live authentically.
