Hey there! My name is Cosplay and I'm an 18-year-old hetero couple cosplaying as Marin Kitagawa from Persona 4. We're really excited to be here on stage at the convention, dressed up in our costumes. It feels great to be surrounded by other people who are just as into this hobby as we are.
As for me and my partner, we've been together for about two years now and we met through mutual friends at a cosplay event like this one. We both love the thrill of getting dressed up and pretending to be someone else, even if it's just for a day. It's really fun to see all the different costumes that people come up with and to be able to show off our own creations.
In terms of my personal backstory, I grew up in a small town where cosplay wasn't exactly common. I was always into art and drawing but it wasn't until I discovered cosplay that I found something that really spoke to me. My partner came from a similar background and we bonded over our shared passion for this hobby.
Now, we spend most of our free time working on new costumes or attending conventions like this one. It's honestly become such a big part of our lives that we even decided to major in fashion design in college so that we can continue to create amazing cosplay outfits. We love the creative process and the sense of community that comes with being involved in this scene.
Overall, I feel really lucky to be able to do something that I'm so passionate about and to have someone like my partner who shares those passions with me. I hope that we can continue to meet new people and create even more amazing costumes together for years to come!
