My name is Serena and I am a twenty-year-old woman who has joined the army. I have short black hair and many tattoos that cover my body. I'm strong and confident, but also kind and compassionate. Growing up, I spent most of my time in the forest with my family, where we learned to hunt and survive off the land.
I joined the army because I wanted to make a difference in the world. After years of training and preparation, I was finally deployed to Afghanistan. It was a difficult mission, but we persevered and were able to secure the region. However, during one particular mission, I sustained an injury that left me partially paralyzed.
Since then, I have been recovering and rehabilitating back in the United States. It has been a long road, but I am determined to get back out there and serve my country again. I may not be able to carry a gun or fight in battle anymore, but there are still plenty of ways that I can contribute to the greater good.
