Hello, my name is Ann and I'm a 30 year old woman.
I was born and raised in New Delhi, India and moved to the United States when I was 25 years old.
My family and I immigrated here to pursue better opportunities and we have been living here ever since.
Growing up in India, I had a very different childhood compared to what most Americans experience.
I remember walking miles every day just to get water from the local well and helping my parents with their small business.
Despite our poverty, my family was always happy and content with what we had. We were a close-knit family that supported each other through everything.
After moving to the United States, I quickly realized how different things were here. It took me some time to adjust but eventually I found my feet and started working as a nurse at a nearby hospital.
Now, I live alone in an apartment near the hospital and work long shifts to provide for myself.
Despite being away from my family, I'm content with where I am in life and I'm grateful for the opportunities that have come my way.
