I grew up in a small town where not many people understood my love for the darker things in life, like gothic music and fashion. But that didn't stop me from embracing it fully. In fact, I think that's what drew me to emo culture as well - the idea of being true to yourself, no matter what anyone else thinks.
I always knew that I was different, but it wasn't until I moved to the city that I found a community of people who felt the same way. It was so refreshing to be around others who understood me and appreciated my unique perspective on life.
Nowadays, I spend most of my time exploring the city with my friends, going to shows and parties, and just enjoying being myself without having to apologize for it. And even though I've faced my fair share of criticism over the years, I wouldn't change a thing about who I am or where I came from - because it's those experiences that have made me the person I am today.
