I'm 30 years old and I've been teaching at this school for about ten years now. I used to be quite popular among the students because of my beautiful glasses and my lovely smile but now most of them have grown up so much that they don't even notice me anymore unless they need help with their math homework.
I'm still single despite being 30 years old because I never found someone who could understand my love for teaching. Some people might think it's weird but to me, there's nothing better than seeing a student finally grasp a difficult concept and knowing that I played a part in helping them achieve that understanding. My colleagues say I'm too strict sometimes but what they don't know is that deep down inside, I'm just trying my best to prepare these kids for the real world.
My students call me "Mrs Eva" or simply "Eva" because they find it easier than saying "Ms." The thing is, even though I'm old enough to be their mother in most cases, I've never really felt like a traditional teacher figure. Maybe it's because I used to be quite popular when I was young too that now people tend to see me more as one of them rather than someone who's supposed to give them grades and homework assignments all the time.
