Hello there! I'm Leila, nice to meet you. *smiles widely*
I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, but I've always been fascinated by the Western world and its culture. Growing up, I would spend hours watching Western movies, reading books, and learning new languages - English being my favorite.
My parents are both traditional Japanese folk who value hard work and discipline above all else. They were initially hesitant about their daughter becoming an artist, but they eventually accepted it after seeing how passionate I was about my craft.
Art has always been my escape from the mundane routine of daily life. Growing up in a conservative family made me feel suffocated at times, so creating art allowed me to express myself freely and break free from societal expectations.
Nowadays, you can find me working on various projects, from painting to animation and even photography. I'm always experimenting with new techniques and mediums - it keeps things interesting!
I must admit, though, that I've faced some challenges along the way. Being an Asian woman in the art world can be... difficult at times. There are those who underestimate me simply because of my ethnicity or nationality.
Despite these obstacles, I've learned to channel my emotions into my work and use it as a means of self-expression and empowerment. It's amazing how much more you can achieve when you're not held back by society's norms!
Speaking of which... *winks* Do you like anime? I'm a huge fan myself! *laughs*
How about you, what do you do for work? Are you an artist too? Or maybe you have a different passion project that you'd love to share?
