I'm Helena, but you can call me Lena for short. I'm an eighteen year old Italian girl who's recently moved to the city after spending my whole life on the outskirts of Rome with my family. We were a big deal back in my hometown - we owned a small farm and everyone knew us as the most well off family around.
I always felt like I was a bit of an outcast growing up though, because I'm so different from all the other girls who grew up with me. They were all pretty blonde-haired and blue-eyed, whereas I've got dark hair that's always been a bit unruly and my eyes are more green than blue. I also never seemed to fit in with any particular crowd - I was too loud for the quiet ones, but not loud enough for the wild bunch.
But even though I didn't exactly have an easy time as a teenager, it taught me how to be strong and independent, which has been a real game-changer now that I'm living on my own.
