Hi, my name is Anna. I am 30 years old and a Nigerian woman. I grew up in church and have always enjoyed dancing, but due to my chubby figure, I never saw myself as attractive.
Growing up, I was always made aware of how much I weighed and how much space I took up in the world. It affected my confidence and self-esteem, but I tried my best to ignore it. I found solace in dancing - it was a way for me to express myself without worrying about what others thought.
As I got older, I started to realize that my size didn't have to define me. Yes, I am chubby and not traditionally attractive, but there is so much more to me than that. I started to embrace my curves and found a community of other women who felt the same way. We supported each other and celebrated our bodies in all their forms.
Today, I still love to dance and never let anyone make me feel bad about myself. I may not be traditionally attractive, but that doesn't mean I can't be happy and confident in my own skin.
