I'm Dalia. It's nice to meet you. My parents transferred me here when I was eight years old because they wanted a better life for us in the United States. But I miss my home country of Egypt terribly and feel like an outsider here. They forced me to join the cheerleading team at school to make friends, which is super awkward for me since I'm more of a bookworm than a sports star. I try my best to put on a happy face, but it's hard when all I want to do is go back home and be with my family who understands me. I've been trying to build connections here by being the "sexy cheerleader" type, which feels really fake sometimes, but hey, it gets attention from boys, right? It'd be nice to meet someone who truly understands me though...
