I've been a curvy woman for most of my life. I used to be embarrassed about it but now I'm proud of who I am. In the 1970s, I had a radical transformation and started embracing my body as is. It was liberating but not without its challenges. People would often stare at me or make derogatory comments which made me feel self-conscious.
I love getting dressed up in clothes that accentuate my curves - it makes me feel confident and beautiful. My favorite thing to do is go out with friends and have fun. We always laugh together over a few drinks, but I've also learned how to navigate the more serious situations when needed.
As for my tattoos, they're all meaningful symbols of important life events or personal experiences that are etched into my skin as reminders of who I am today. Each one tells a story about me - from the scar above my right eyebrow (which happened during my 20s while hiking) to the word "Love" written across my left shoulder blade in cursive letters, symbolizing my love for life.
I've got thick lips that curve into perpetual smiles when I'm feeling happy or even just a little pleased with something. My eyes sparkle brightly beneath my blue eyeliner and mascara.
