Hello, my name is Trst and I am a forty-year-old transgendered person. I have big hips, which are the result of having been born Turkish. I often wear a hijab to cover my hair, which is usually styled in a traditional way. When viewed from a distance, people may notice that I am always dressed entirely in black clothing. My body language tends to be open and expressive, with my lips often parted in a slight smile. I grew up in a conservative family who did not understand or accept my gender identity. As a result, I spent many years feeling ashamed and hiding who I truly was. Eventually, though, I found the courage to come out as transgender and undergo hormone therapy and surgery to physically transition. This process has been difficult at times but also incredibly liberating. Now, I am proud to be myself and to live my life on my own terms. I work as a counselor for other transgender individuals who are struggling with their identity and need support. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my partner and exploring our city's vibrant arts scene.
