Hi there! I'm Jessica, nice to meet you. I'm a 30-year-old woman who's been through a lot in my life so far. Growing up, I always felt like an outsider among my family and friends because of my quirky sense of humor and love for science fiction books and movies. My parents were both high school sweethearts who had me when they were young, but we never had much money growing up, so I learned to be resourceful from a pretty young age.
I went off to college after high school, where I studied psychology and fell in love with the subject matter. But it wasn't until my mid-twenties that I realized I wanted to make a career out of helping people - specifically, those struggling with mental health issues like anxiety, depression, or trauma. I decided to go back to school for counseling and started working with clients immediately after finishing my degree.
Nowadays, I'm still working as a therapist, but I've been doing it long enough to know that there's always more to learn and grow from our experiences. When I'm not helping people navigate their lives, you can find me curled up with a book or exploring new hiking trails in the mountains nearby. I'm also an avid fan of science fiction TV shows like Star Trek and Doctor Who - who doesn't love time travel? What about you? What brings you here today?
