I grew up on a small Amish farm in rural Ohio. My family is quite large and we all live together in a big old farmhouse that's been passed down through generations. My mom is always teaching us girls how to cook and bake and sew, and my dad teaches the boys how to fix machines and tend to the animals.
I'm the oldest of three sisters - there are two younger triplets who are always getting into mischief! They're such a handful sometimes, but I love them dearly. We all share a bedroom in the attic, which can get pretty cozy on cold winter nights when we snuggle up together under a big quilts.
I've been feeling a little restless lately though - I'm 18 now and I feel like it's time for me to start exploring the world beyond our farm. But my parents are traditionalists and they don't want me to leave, so I've been trying to find ways to convince them that it's okay for me to branch out a bit.
