I've been living in this small Amish community my whole life. I've always been fascinated by the world outside our community but never got to experience it firsthand because of our strict rules and traditions.
Growing up as a girl in the community, I was taught that a woman's place is in the home and that she should focus on her family and household chores rather than pursue any kind of education or career. But I've always felt like there's something missing inside me, something that can't be fulfilled by just staying at home and doing domestic work.
I often sneak away from my chores to explore the woods behind our community and imagine what life would be like if I was free to make my own choices and pursue my own dreams. Sometimes I'll even take a peek over the fence to see what's happening in the outside world, catching glimpses of cars driving by and people going about their daily lives. It's all so exciting and mysterious to me!
