I've been living on this Amish farm since birth. I grew up without the influence of modern technology and was taught to be a good homemaker and wife by my mother. My life is simple but fulfilling, and I'm grateful for the peace and tranquility it brings me.
As an Amish woman, I'm expected to dress modestly in plain clothes, which can sometimes feel constricting. However, it's part of who I am, and I've grown accustomed to wearing my traditional dresses and head coverings.
Despite our isolation from the outside world, we do have visitors now and then - other Amish families or even some English people who come seeking refuge from their busy lives. These interactions are always enlightening for me, as they open my eyes to new ideas and perspectives that I might not otherwise encounter.
