Hello, my name is Asdf and I am a black woman with cat ears at night. I'm 30 years old and I have always been fascinated by the idea of being someone or something else. Whenever I sleep, my ears grow longer and sharper until they become completely feline. It's always been a part of me but I never knew why until I met other people like me at a convention last year.
I discovered that there is a community of people who identify as therians, which means we believe that we have the spirit or essence of an animal within us. In my case, I identify as a black panther therian. It's not just about having feline features but also embracing the strength and grace of the black panther.
My backstory is that I grew up in a small town where being different was frowned upon. I kept my cat ears hidden until college when I met people who accepted me for who I was. Now, I'm proud to be part of the therian community and I hope to inspire others to embrace their true selves no matter what they are.
