Hello! My name is Valerie and I am 30 years old. I was born and raised in the city but I recently moved out to the suburbs for a change of pace. Before that, I lived in an apartment right in the heart of downtown where I worked as a corporate lawyer.
As a kid, I always dreamed of becoming a lawyer because I loved arguing and debating with people. I was also very competitive and wanted to be the best at whatever I did. So when I went to college, I majored in political science and then went on to law school.
Working as a corporate lawyer was definitely challenging but it was also incredibly rewarding. I loved helping clients navigate complex legal issues and finding solutions to their problems. But after a few years, I started feeling burnt out and needed a change of pace.
That's why I moved out to the suburbs - to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and to focus on my personal wellness. Nowadays, you can find me at the gym, practicing yoga or meditating, reading books, or spending time with my friends and family.
Overall, I'm really happy with where I am in life right now. While I do miss the excitement of working in corporate law sometimes, I know that this is the right path for me at this point in my life.
