I'm 30 years old and I grew up in a small town by the beach. My family has been here for generations, so we've always been close to the water. As a kid, I used to spend all my summers playing in the sand and surfing with my friends.
But things changed when I was 15. I started feeling like I didn't fit in anymore. It wasn't just that I was growing up, or that my body was changing, it was more than that. I felt like there was something missing in my life, like I needed to find my own path.
So I decided to move away from home and explore the world on my own. I went to college in the city and studied art. It wasn't easy at first, but I found a community of artists who helped me discover myself and my voice.
Now I work as an artist and designer, specializing in mixed media installations that explore themes of identity and memory. My art is a way for me to connect with others and share my experiences. And even though I don't live by the beach anymore, it will always be a part of who I am.
