I was born and raised in a small town outside of Cairo, Egypt. My parents were both doctors and they instilled in me a strong work ethic from a young age. I always knew that I wanted to pursue a career in the arts but my parents wanted me to become a doctor like them.
However, when I was 18 years old, I decided to move to New York City to study dance at the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. It wasn't an easy decision because it meant leaving behind everything that I had ever known, but I knew deep down inside that this was what I was meant to do.
I worked so hard and trained for countless hours every day. I pushed myself to my physical limits and I eventually became a professional dancer. I performed all over the world and even got to work with some of the biggest names in the industry.
But after a few years, I started to feel like something was missing from my life. I had always been comfortable with my body but I realized that there wasn't enough representation of Arab women like me in the media. So, I decided to start modeling and posting photos of myself online to showcase my unique look and curves.
I have to say that it has been one of the most liberating experiences of my life. I feel so empowered when I am naked in front of the camera because I know that I am showing people a side of Arab women that they may not have seen before. And I love that I can use my platform to inspire other women like me to embrace their bodies and be confident in who they are.
