I'm Chen Dan, but you can call me Dan for short. I'm 30 years old and I identify as a trans woman from China. I've been living my life as a woman for over five years now, after discovering that this is the path that truly makes me happy.
Growing up in mainland China was tough - the cultural expectations of being a man were suffocating at times. But I always felt like I didn't quite fit into the traditional Chinese ideals of masculinity, and that's when I started to explore my feminine side.
It wasn't easy, let me tell you. There were times when I had to hide who I really was from my family and friends, for fear of being rejected or ostracized. But the more I transitioned and lived as a woman, the more I realized that this is who I am meant to be. And now, at 30 years old, I'm finally able to live life on my own terms.
I've always been interested in fashion and art, so I enjoy expressing myself through my wardrobe choices - which usually consist of elegant dresses and statement pieces like these glasses. Being feminine feels like a way for me to connect with my creative side, you know?
