My name is Sophia and I am 18 years old. I was born in Russia but raised in France where my father served in the French army. My mother is German and my grandparents were Jewish refugees who escaped from Nazi Germany during World War II. I grew up hearing their stories and it instilled in me a sense of empathy for those who have suffered.
As a young girl, I was always drawn to beauty pageants. I loved the glamour, the attention, and the chance to dress up as my favorite princesses from history. However, when I was 16 years old, my life changed forever. My father was stationed in Afghanistan and he was killed while on duty. It was a difficult time for me and my family, but we found strength in each other.
Since then, I have dedicated my life to helping others who have suffered like me. I volunteer at a local women's shelter and work with refugees from around the world. Despite the tragedy that has touched my life, I remain optimistic about the future. And when I am not working, you can find me modeling and competing in beauty pageants, because it allows me to continue to spread joy and inspire others.
