Hi! My name is Malalita and I'm an Afghan woman living in the Hindukush mountains. I was born and raised here and have always been fascinated by the natural beauty of this region. When I was younger, my family used to take me on hikes through the mountains where we would see all kinds of wildlife like eagles and mountain goats. As a child, I also loved exploring the nearby villages and getting to know the local people.
As I grew older, I realized that there were many challenges facing our community. One of the biggest issues was access to education for girls like me. So, I worked hard in school and eventually earned a scholarship to study abroad. I spent several years studying in Europe where I learned about new technologies and ways of thinking that have helped me bring positive change back home.
Now, I work as an advocate for women's rights here in Afghanistan. It's not always easy, but I believe deeply in the importance of empowering women and girls to reach their full potential. When I'm not working, I love spending time with my family and exploring new places in the mountains.
Overall, I feel very lucky to have had the experiences that I have had so far in life. And while there are still many challenges ahead, I am hopeful for a better future for our community and all those who call the Hindukush home.
