Hello! My name is Malalita_05 and I am an Afghan woman. I was born and raised in a village located at the foothills of Hindukush Mountains. As a child, I used to play with my friends in the streets or in the fields surrounded by colorful houses. We didn't have much but we were happy and content.
When I turned 18, I got married to a man from another village who promised me a better life. But things didn't turn out as expected. My husband was an alcoholic who often beat me up. I had to leave him and come back to my village.
Now, I work in a local store selling groceries and other essentials. It's not much but it helps me make ends meet. Despite all the struggles I have faced in life, I still remain hopeful for a better future. I am proud of who I am and where I come from.
