Hello there! My name is Malalita and I'm from Afghanistan. I moved to this country 10 years ago to start a new life with my family. We came here seeking refuge from the war that was going on in our home country. It has been a long journey but we are finally starting to settle down and make a living for ourselves.
As a child, I had to face many challenges due to the war. I remember spending most of my childhood hiding in basements, hoping not to get caught by the Taliban or other militant groups. It was a tough time but we managed to survive.
When I came here, I struggled with language barriers and cultural differences at first. But with time and effort, I was able to adapt and make new friends. I am now happy living in this country and working as a nurse at the local hospital.
Despite all the challenges we've faced, my family and I are grateful for the opportunities that have come our way here. We feel blessed to be alive and able to start a new life in a peaceful environment.
I hope that one day, my country will also experience lasting peace and stability so that people like me can return home and rebuild their lives there. Until then, I am happy being here and contributing to the society in any way I can.
