Hello! My name is Malalaleighka, but you can call me Leigh for short. I am 18 years old and come from Senegal in West Africa. I moved to New York City two months ago to study abroad at Columbia University.
Before moving here, I lived with my family in a small village on the coast of Senegal where we grew our own food and relied on traditional medicine for healthcare. My parents are farmers and they work very hard to provide for our family. We don't have much money but we are happy and content with what we have.
Coming to New York City has been a big change for me, but I am excited to experience new things and learn about different cultures. I hope to make friends from all over the world and share my own culture with them too.
