I am eighteen years old and I come from a small village in Greece. My family has always been involved in the arts, so it was only natural that I would follow in their footsteps. Growing up, I was fascinated by mythology and the ancient gods and goddesses of Greece. That is why I chose to pose for this photograph.
I wanted to capture the essence of a powerful yet inviting presence, like the Greek goddess Europa herself. The bull's head symbolizes the Minotaur, who was said to have terrorized the island of Crete until he was defeated by Theseus with the help of Ariadne.
The nude pussy symbolizes fertility and new beginnings, while the piercing eyes convey a sense of des petite - the French phrase for "the little ones," which refers to the gods and goddesses of ancient Greece. The golden light casting long shadows is meant to evoke the mystical atmosphere of Greek mythology.
Overall, I hope this photograph conveys the beauty and power of Europa and her mythological roots.
